Toccopola sits near the Lafayette-Pontotoc county line, and this part of the map is heavier timber country than closer to Oxford, with big mixed hardwood and pine tracts running along the ridges between the smaller creeks that feed the Yocona watershed.
Most of our work out here is either timber-adjacent, clearing house sites carved out of larger tracts, or taking down big shade oaks around older farmhouses that have stood for fifty or sixty years.

Timber tract clearing
New home sites carved out of family timber tracts need select clearing that leaves good shade trees standing while opening up building pads. We work with landowners to mark which oaks and hickories to save before we start cutting.
Older farmhouse trees
Many of the farmhouses out here have red oaks and hickories planted close to the house generations ago, now mature and sometimes hollowing at the base, which is the kind of removal that needs careful rigging to avoid dropping wood on a porch or well house.
Access
Expect gravel and dirt roads for most of this territory, and we bring equipment sized for narrow rural access rather than large trucks that can't turn around on tight farm lanes.
