We still run the same safety checks on lean, decay, and hang risk on every cut, but the job moves faster and costs less when there's open ground to drop into.

Where tree cutting fits
Good candidates are trees with clear drop zones: pasture edges, rural lots outside Oxford proper, back corners of a yard away from the house, or fence lines out toward Highway 6 and Highway 7 where sweetgum and cedar volunteer growth crowds the wire.
Felling technique
We cut a directional notch and back cut so the tree lands where we want it, then buck the trunk into rounds on request. If you're keeping the wood for firewood, we'll cut to your preferred length before we leave.
When cutting turns into removal
If we get on-site and the lean or the target zone changes the picture, say a tree we thought was clear of the fence actually has a limb over it, we tell you before we proceed and adjust the price if it now needs rigging instead of a straight fell.
